Please don't do anything stupid.  You sound like you want to keep your marriage together.  There's something good about knowing each other well.   It's comfortable, nothing wrong with that.   The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence.    Enjoy your closeness.  

I had it with my husband for 32 years and then he died.   I still miss him like mad 15 years later.    

Excitment is overrated.    Go volunteer at the zoo/hospital/school/whatever  and keep out of trouble
