So glad to see articles in the paper, and web sites that are Anti-Valentines Day,
Having just come off Christmas and New Years when we are all supposed to be so happy and have to face Valentines and all the commercially generated smultz. It makes me sick!
Yes, there are many people alone who are not buying sexy undies, overwhelmed by roses or showered with chocolates!!
Celebrate those of us that my choice or circumstances are alone.
My best wishes to all of you to just let this day slip by or celebrate it is a positive way!

I would just go to one of those shmaltzy love advice websites and read through some of the crazy-ass problems people have with their partners and pat yourself on the back for not being an insecure co-dependent who has romantic issues due to not being able to be comfortably single for even a minute. I myself am not single, but most of my single girlfriends coped by going out the weekend before and having a good time with friends or plan on cooking for each other on the actual day. Two of my friends want to pick a random event from either 4info or Craigslist and attend it just to see what kind of people they'll meet. I'll probably be curling up with my sexy lovah, TV (and my husband, but he has to share with TV).

I usually just crawl into a fetal position and cry myself to sleep. Other than that, nothing I wouldn't do any other day of the year. I do my best to ignore the promotions around me, and sometimes that is harder than it should be, but the way I see it, it's just 14,040 minutes out 525,600. If you can live through that, then the rest should be a little easier to deal with. Until Christmas, of course .

I know there are several "Anti-Valentines Day" Parties at clubs in the area...

I guess my choices are to head out in my brand new camper trailer, go hunting, take a case of beer and a good a couple good movies to watch tonight...OR go to one of those sausage fests that highlights the few sluts that are out in the bars that evening.....

There are several clubs where I live hosting Anti V-Day bashes.

I myself plan on going it alone by catching the most cranial movie I can find in theatres currently.
